WHAT IS A SLAB FOUNDATION?
A slab foundation is a flat concrete structure. They are designed to have a grade beam around the perimeter of the slab and, depending on the age and size of the home, it might also have grade beams throughout the interior of the slab in a checkerboard type layout.
Concrete slab foundations are generally poured directly onto the ground and do not have crawl spaces under them.
HOW DOES SLAB FOUNDATION REPAIR WORK?
There are various methods of foundation repair for concrete slab foundations. Our #dirtnerds measure elevation differences throughout your home to determine where the problem areas are.
Once they take the measurements, our team will carefully and thoroughly evaluate your home’s landscaping, drainage, and soil under the property to help determine a plan of repair and maintenance suited to your needs and budget.
#ShiftHappens, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution for foundation repair. Here are some of the most common foundation repair types for concrete slab foundations:
- Piers (type of pier depends on the soil and budget)
- Mudjacking
- Landscape and drainage solutions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. We offer various services for the various soils and foundation issues, including: concrete or steel piers, drilled or pressed piers, mud jacking and concrete leveling, drainage systems, landscape solutions, retaining walls, and more.
This depends on many factors such as the type of foundation you have, the issues you’re experiencing, the soil around your home, and other environmental factors. A thorough Perma Pier inspection can pinpoint the issue and give you an accurate cost estimate.
This has a lot to do with the soil, plants, trees, water, and slope of land/drainage around your home. A soil assessment can help determine if you need some adjustments made to ensure your foundation stays sound for years to come.
